Her Story

Linda Widrick is a freelance writer and graduate of Long Ridge Writer’s Group.  She has been published in Grit and Quilt World magazines and was a regular contributor for The Powderhorn Variety for several years.  Linda’s first novel Through a Shattered Image was released in 2017, followed by a novella, To Complicate Matters, in 2020.

A dreamer at heart, Linda is a pantser who works well under pressure and excels when she binge writes.  She pulls her inspiration for stories from snippets of everyday life.  She attends writers conferences whenever possible and relishes honing her skills while networking with other industry professionals.  Twists and turns are a signature trait of Linda’s writing style.

Kayaking, traveling, treasure hunting, home renovation, and RV flipping are a few hobbies Linda enjoys. But connecting with family and friends over a good, strong cup of coffee remains pinned at the top of her list. She and her husband, Keith, are directors of Gospel Outreach, Inc., a mission board that reaches out to the needy and lost in third world countries.  Linda makes her home in Sarasota, Florida where she works on administrative projects for a demolition company by day and writing projects by night.
